Muhammad Ali was getting Ready For The Ring, Pennsylvania 1974

Ali tapes his hands before a training session at his training camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania, where he was preparing for his second fight with Joe Frazier at Madison Square Garden (1974).

This framed limited edition photograph of Muhammad Ali is printed on traditional photographic fibre-based silver gelatin paper.

This photo was captured by Chris when Ali was getting Ready For The Ring at his training camp in at Deer Lake, Pennsylvania 1974. Ali used Deer Camp to train and prepare for a number of his most famous fights: “The Rumble in the Jungle”, “Ali vs Frazier II”, and “Ali vs Foreman”. The second of the three Ali–Frazier bouts, it took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28, 1974. Ali was a slight favourite to win and did by a unanimous decision albeit a controversial one, in which Ali clinched 133 times.

Each photograph comes in a contemporary classic black box frame. The box frame has a fillet which creates a space between the print and the glazing. So there is no contact with the glass. The whole effect is that of a deep box.

For protection, the photograph is mounted behind 3mm Waterwhite acrylic glass which keeps the photograph safe from harmful UV rays and acts as an anti-reflective shield.
